The door was locked to get in...
The microphone was A) off B) also the wrong microphone. Thus nothing I said made it on the air for the first 2 1/2 hours of the show.
The (Single) CD player was picky about using burned discs so the third hour was quickly revamped.
And the next DJ showed up late... but other than that, Show one was a raging success.
Welcome to The Quo Vadimus Show & Annoying Hour on KTEQ dorm and web radio. It's not a request show. If you want to hear "Freak on a Leash" by KORN, call when the next DJ is on.
About the title: Quo Vadimus = "where are we going." The first two hours are a freeform musical journey of sounds that A) you may not have heard before B) play well together. Could be beatnik poetry, punk, country, jazz, rock, just about any genre except heavy metal. I like new artists, particularly experimental music. It's what radio used to be about. Not the same artist preprogrammed every 2 hours whether it's Britney, Elton, Elvis or Beethoven. Radio By Robot sucks, folks. A half hour in we go on an "extended play" with a full album served up for your enjoyment. Suggestions are welcome for this segment, but hey, no guarantees in life.
Hour three is a comedy show, prepared by a certified deputy of Dr. Demento. It's sort of a way to lose as many listeners as possible before the next shift ends. We're a bunch of freaks.
